John Stebbins is the only man to have survived unharmed from the "Bloody Brook" massacre near Pocumtuck (Deerfield), Massachusetts, September 18, 1675.

John Stebbins was captured and redeemed in the 1704 Deerfield, Massachusetts attack. He is mentioned in "The Redeemed Captive, Returning to Zion", by Reverend John Williams.

French and Indian War

William and Hezikiah Hall

William Hall was killed by Cherokee Indians on May 1, 1757, in the Cherokee Indian war in Bedford County, Virginia. His son, Hezikiah, fought in the same battle alongside him.
