...continued from here

The only reasonable character in the movie "Troy" is Eudorus.
With a little help from my friends, I managed to watch Troy all the way through. I'll admit the cgi was impressive, and it is a tough story to tell. But what struck me was the character of Eudorus, played by actor Vincent Regan. I really don't remember if he was in the "original book" or if he was invented here for exposition, but he is the only reasonable person in this whole movie.
His character just keeps asking, "is this really such a good idea?", for example, when Achilles starts wreaking havoc on a holy place. Achilles' only answer seems to be "deal with it". The main characters in Troy seem to go from one stupid decision to another.
And Vincent Regan's dismayed eyes seems to sum it up every time.
